I recognize these basics, even prosaic, but there is an incredible strength to begin practicing these chords in our personal and professional daily life! And the fourth chord, always doing your best, is almost like the combination of all. Because if you do your best, you will be more and more aware of how you work from one moment to the next, meetings, interactions with interaction. They`re going to ask powerful questions like: after that, we had a team brainstorming to see what things we really needed to cultivate to make them sustainable in the long run. It is not a typical leadership book, but when we use it in a situation of moderation or coaching, we often receive positive feedback from leaders and their teams. Here are the four agreements that could also be considered as rules of life or guidelines on life: first, a little substance. The philosophy behind the four chords is based on the Toltes, a Mesoathst-American culture and part of the Aztec civilization from 900 to 1060 AD. While the book itself was published more than 20 years ago, the idea is not new. 8. The four agreements seem to be common sense. Do you think it is easy or difficult to practice these agreements? Has the practice of one or more of the four agreements changed your life? If you put these four agreements into practice and think about them, you will start to trust yourself more. And instead of trying to do your best, you have other perspectives to help you become better and be a more effective leader. It`s easier to make changes if you`re not overwhelmed and can focus on one thing at a time.

So choose a deal each week for the next four weeks. For example, focus on being flawless for a whole week with your word and diary about it. Or focus on not taking things in person. First, the book explains the belief system that each is based on social, family or pedagogical influences. This is what determines how we live different situations in our lives. Abstract: The four agreements build on the long tradition of the Toltecs, an old indigenous people of Mexico, to show you that we have been domesticated since childhood, how these internal and conductive rules harm us and what we can do to break them and replace them with a new set of agreements with ourselves. So during the meeting, I had the impression that I only had to share the four principles of the book with the rest of the team – I understand that the company is everyone who works there, which is why transparency is a task that concerns us all. But if we follow the four agreements, we can change our mindsets, become more confident and see what is really possible. If you do exactly the right amount, you will become more productive, and you will live life more intensely.

If you appreciate what you`re doing, it means you`re doing exactly the right amount. If you always do your best, you won`t be yourself if something doesn`t go as planned — you`re just going to get up, brush and start over. This agreement works just as well if you find that it breaks the other 4 agreements;-) So we thought we could talk about what the four agreements are, and give you some examples of how you can use them in your teams, as a people leader, and even only in everyday life. At the last sprint retrospective of our software development teams, we talked about what we needed to do to maintain the “good mood” in the company. “The Four Accords” is a self-help book, but more spiritual, which is why I made a joke with the title of this article and called it “Management 4.0”. Joke spreads 🙂 Now I understand that this is the key to success: creating a team of talented people who are constantly developing on a personal level, and who have achieved the balance between their life plan and their professional career, is the ideal basis for the team that manages itself, and the management must partly clean up.
