U.S. lawmakers plan to split the coronavirus relief plan into two proposals in order to be voted on separately, Reuters reported. Part will cover a measure of $US 748 billion for small businesses, the vaccine distribution process and the unemployed. The other component includes local and public support, as well as the protection of employers` liability against complaints related to the virus. In addition, the False Claims Act allows whistleblowers to sue on behalf of the government, and successful whistleblowers can receive between 15 and 30 percent of the revenue from the money recovered by the government from the complaint or transaction. The Stark Act prohibits a physician from making transfers for certain “designed health services” (DHS) payable by Medicare to an organization with which he or a direct member of his or her family has a financial relationship (ownership or compensation), with some exceptions; and prohibits the company from filing claims with Medicare (or charging another natural, legal, or third-party payment agent) for such recommended services….
