Concordancia is the harmonious combination of elements in a single sentence. There are two types of agreements (concordancia) in Spanish: the concordancia nominale (nominative agreement) and the concordancia verbale (verbal agreement). Let`s look at some rules for concordancia verbally. In our next article, we will see some special cases of consolation in español, okay? In Spanish, you use second-person pronouns with their own clear verbs; Third-party pronouns share verb forms with third-party pronouns; see z.B. above. In Spanish, it is very common to see sentences where the verb corresponds to nosotros (as) and vosotros (as)/ustedes, but they are not pronoun, but they are substantive. Here are some examples: 1. If we have only one subject, the verb in number and person corresponds to this. In the following sentences, the subject is printed in bold.

Las niñas jugaban a la rayuela. [The girls were playing hopscotch.] Juan y tú serán buenos amigos. [You and Juan are probably good friends.] Juan y tú = ustedes (3rd person plural – Latin American Spanish) Pasaron por mi casa los abuelos de Nacho. [Nacho`s grandparents walked past my house. – Remember that in Spanish we can reverse the position of the subjects.] Salieron juntos tu papá y mi tío. [Your father and my uncle left together.] tu papá y mi tío = ellos (3rd person plural) Note: -os pronouns refer to a couple/group that is all male or mixed; – as pronouns for couple/group which is quite feminine. Tú y yo no tenemos nada en común. [You and I have nothing in common.] tú y yo = nosotros (1st person plural) 2. If we are compuesto subjects (two or more subjects), the verb must be plural. Los médicos ganáis mucha plata pero los profesores somos muy mal remunerados. [You doctors make a lot of money, but we teachers are very underpaid.] Los artistas tenéis una vida muy agitada. [You artists have a very hectic life.] . . .
